  • Supportive, people-focused leadership team
  • Strong work-life balance
  • Maximum average working week of 45 hours
  • Opportunity to influence and shape a growing £1.5m F&B operation

The Opportunity

A well-regarded countryside resort in North Devon is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to take ownership of a significant, multi-outlet operation.

This is not a single-site restaurant role. The food and beverage operation generates approximately £1.5m in annual revenue and spans restaurants, bars, weddings, events and wider resort hospitality.

The business has clear plans for growth, and this role is about more than maintaining standards — it’s about taking an already strong operation and helping to move it forward commercially, operationally and culturally.

The Role

Reporting into a highly respected, hands-on and people-focused General Manager, you will have autonomy to lead and develop the entire food and beverage operation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing all food and beverage outlets across the resort
  • Leading, developing and supporting an established team
  • Maintaining consistently high service standards across all areas
  • Managing budgets, labour costs and overall performance
  • Driving revenue growth and improving profitability
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency
  • Working closely with wider resort departments to ensure a seamless guest journey
  • Contributing to wider business decisions and future planning

This is a visible, hands-on leadership role — you will need to be comfortable being on the floor when required, while also confidently managing the commercial and strategic side of the operation.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience as a Food & Beverage Manager (or similar senior F&B role)
  • Background within a quality hotel, resort or multi-outlet operation
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding
  • Experience managing budgets, labour control and profitability
  • A proven track record of improving performance, not just maintaining it
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire teams
  • A hands-on, approachable and visible management style
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys building teams, improving operations and being actively involved in the business.

Why This Role?

This is a stable and well-run business with a strong existing team and an established culture. Staff retention is high, and the leadership team are known for being supportive, approachable and trusting of their managers.

The General Manager gives their team autonomy, encourages input, and involves senior staff in wider business decisions.

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for:

  • More responsibility and influence
  • A properly commercial F&B role
  • A supportive leadership environment
  • A clear platform for future progression

Location

Set just outside South Molton in the North Devon countryside, this role also offers a genuine lifestyle benefit alongside career development — ideal for someone looking to combine progression with quality of life.
